Annual service in Coachella

Coachella’s fire prevention is handled by the Riverside County Fire Department under contract with the city. California adopts NFPA 10, and CCR Title 19 says portable extinguishers must be serviced and tagged by a licensed company. Our annual visit covers:

• Pressure, seals, hose, nozzle and mounting on every unit.
• A new service tag, and a check that each extinguisher matches the hazard nearby.
• Internal maintenance and hydrostatic test dates tracked per unit, with recharging after use.
• A written list of anything missing or blocked, with a quote.

What we see most in Coachella

Packing sheds, shops and storage yards are hard on equipment. Dust clogs nozzles, forklifts knock brackets loose, and an extinguisher gets moved to wherever the last job was and never goes back. Auto shops and gas stations need the right size and type near fuel and parts cleaners. Restaurants need a Class K unit by the fryer in addition to the dry chemical units in the rest of the building.
