Semi-annual inspections in Rancho Mirage
Commercial cooking suppression systems are inspected every six months under NFPA 96 and the manufacturer’s requirements, and the Riverside County Fire Department, which handles fire prevention for the city, will ask to see the tag. Each visit covers:
- The agent cylinder, cartridge and pressure.
- Nozzles, caps and piping over every appliance.
- The detection line and fusible links, replaced on schedule.
- The manual pull station and the gas or electric shut-off.
What we see most in Rancho Mirage
Club and banquet kitchens change their line for the season and for events: a charbroiler rolled in, a fryer moved to make room. Nozzles are aimed at specific appliances, so a moved appliance can sit outside coverage. Church and school kitchens have the reverse issue, running rarely enough that caps go missing and grease builds up on nozzles between visits.
Nozzle rework and new systems
We re-work nozzles whenever the cook line changes, and replace older systems that no longer meet the UL 300 standard.

Common questions
Our clubhouse kitchen only runs in season. Does it still need inspecting every six months?
Yes. The six-month interval applies whether or not the kitchen was busy. We can time one visit just before your season opens.
We brought in extra equipment for an event. Do we need to call?
If it sits under the hood, yes. We confirm the nozzles still cover it.
Call and a technician will come out to service your property.
