Medical offices and gated communities
Medical and dental practices make up more than a tenth of our Rancho Mirage list, a larger share than in Palm Springs or Palm Desert. Those offices have their own concerns. Oxygen and other compressed gases may be stored on site, electrical equipment runs all day, and patients who cannot move quickly may be in the building. We check that each extinguisher suits the room it protects and stays reachable, and in medical buildings with sprinklers or an alarm panel we plan testing around appointments.
The associations and clubs on our list bring the other side of the city’s work: many buildings behind one gate, common areas, pool and fitness buildings, and clubhouse kitchens that need hood suppression every six months. We keep a record of each building on the property so nothing is skipped as the list of structures changes.
Inspections and records
Rancho Mirage contracts with the Riverside County Fire Department for fire prevention, and its inspectors expect service records to be current. We leave a tag or written report for each system: NFPA 10 for extinguishers, NFPA 25 for sprinklers, NFPA 72 for fire alarms and NFPA 96 for kitchen systems, with UL 300 as the standard for the system itself. The work and paperwork follow CCR Title 19.
Common questions
Our dental office stores oxygen. Does that change the extinguishers we need?
It can. We look at what is stored and where, confirm the units fit the hazard, and quote any change in writing.
Our community has buildings added over the years. How do you keep track?
We record each building and its equipment on the first visit and update that list every time something is added.
Call and a technician will come out to service your property.
